I'm Broke but Be My Girlfriend!

Someone please explain to me why guys nowadays seem to be okay with pursuing women in traditional as well as non-traditional fashions without having anything really going for them. In my opinion, it seems fair to ask the same from a potential significant other or mate the same things that you are currently bringing to the table. If you have a job, the other person should as well. If you hold a college degree, they probably should also or at least have a career that holds growth potential that they are pursuing full-time. Whether or not they have children & you do or do not is up to individual preference so I will not touch on that one but you get the pattern that I'm setting up here.

Going into any dating situation expecting the other person you're interested in to just simply understand your situation is unacceptable & unfair. At the very least, you should find someone who is on your same level at this place & time as opposed to shooting high & only going after women that are "going places" so you can ultimately upgrade yourself. I just don't think its fair. If that means you have to wait a bit until you've got your stuff straight financially or otherwise then so be it. You'll make a better candidate in the long run so all in all it seems a worthy decision.
